We welcome all enrolment enquiries and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about starting school and about us. If this is your child's first enrolment at a New Zealand school, the Ministry of
Education requires us to sight an original birth certificate or passport, immunisation information (such as that in the Well Child Record Book), and your child's B4 School Check certificate.
Visits to our Junior Whānau class before your child turns
five are very important. These
help you and your child to get to know Mrs Candace Christensen (our new entrant
teacher), future classmates, other staff members, the school environment and
school routines. Our programme for 4 year olds is called Monday Mollymawks. This takes place from 9 till 10 on Monday mornings. All 4 year olds who may be coming to our school are welcome to join us for Mollymawks. Should you wish to discuss anything to do with arrangements for pre-schoolers, please phone Mel Jewiss or Candace Christensen on 478 0605 or call in to
see us.
It is important that a parent or caregiver stays at school
during each visit. If you have
younger pre-school children you may wish to consider alternative arrangements
for them during the visits.
However, if this is not practical or possible, we are more than happy
for them to stay on at school with you.
All the
stationery your child needs for their first year at school can be purchased
from the school office. It is a
great idea to have this stationery ready for your child to use on his or her
first full day at school.
